
Now that the year is coming to a close and a new one is about to begin I am getting the Lake and Town Realty team together to begin planning.
I coach High School Baseball and in preparation for each season, I plan months in advance to prepare the team for the grueling season. It is the same with my Real Estate business. When my colleagues and I first started out, we were so busy with the newness of it all, that planning out strategies was fairly easy. We looked to sign a client with our group and either help sell or assist in the purchase of a house.
Those simpler days are gone....for now.
However, that does not mean we can't get those clients back. I used to work for a very smart man who taught me a lot about sales. The one phrase that he used frequently and has always stuck with me is, "Fail to Plan..Plan to Fail". How true that is!
Everyone has great intentions, but many times we spin our wheels and seem to let months go by without being as productive as we could be. I would even bet that many of you have a very successful business plan that you follow very closely. I would even venture to guess that many of you are now thinking, "Of course, Mike, we learned that in Business 101".
As a result, my quest is to solicit feedback from our members as to what you feel are the most important things to remember when planning for the New Year. We have some brilliant people right in our own community. With the responses I receive, I plan to compile the list of suggestions and repost for all to see and utilize.
My number one idea for my Realty Team is to attempt to reconnect with old/new clients, family/friends, and past business associates by sending out a Lake and Town Monthly Newsletter. We are using YourMailingListProvider.com and have garnered some great feedback. It is a work in progress, but we look forward to making this a huge part of our marketing.
