Coral Sushi located at 9525 Birkdale Crossings Dr, Huntersville just across the street from Birkdale Village is now my number one sushi
restaurant now.

Are you always afraid to try a new sushi place because it may not be as good as the one you always go too? Well, my wife and I are always a little skeptical but we decided to venture out last night.

A fairly new place opened up without much fanfare and is kind of tucked away in a new shopping plaza across the street from the more popular Birkdale Village in Huntersville.

We arrived a little early because we were afraid of the Valentine's Dinner rush but had no problems getting seated. The staff was very cordial and the menu had a nice variety to choose from.

My wife ordered a Lee's Roll and Ichiban Roll. The presentation was great and the taste even better. I ordered the Deluxe Sampler and was "blown" away by how big the sushi pieces were. Not only were they a good size but the freshness and taste was outstanding.

There are a number of Sushi places I have eaten at in the Lake Norman area of Charlotte, but now consider Coral Sushi as my favorite.

Give it a try and you may be pleasantly surprised!

Short Sale and Pre-Foreclosure Townhomes/Condos in the towns of Huntersville, Cornelius, Mooresville, Davidson and Denver.

Due to the economic meltdown the Lake Norman area of Charlotte has experienced a large number of distressed properties. That only enables a lot of buyers to capitalize on the outstanding buys. However, if you qualify for the First-Time Home buyer incentives you may want to start looking ASAP.

The major disadvantage of buying a short sale home is time (as long as you are purchasing a sound home with not major damages and sometimes the money saved outweighs this as well). If you have the patience and are not in the same situation as many home buyers (wanting to get in the home right now) then you may find a great deal.

The deadline for The First-Time home buyer incentive is May 1, 2010. That gives you just over 2 months go into a binding contract.

Huntersville NC has some of the best Elementary Schools in Mecklenburg County.

Along with being a Realtor, I am also a parent of 6 yr old triplet boys who attend Barnette Elementary in Huntersville NC. One of the questions I am often asked is, "How are the schools in Huntersville?"

This is our boys' first year of school at Barnette Elementary and we could not be any happier. Our boys continue to impress us with the progress they are making and we look forward to many more successful years.

There are 2 additonal elementary schools in Huntersville and they too are receiving high praise from around the district.

Huntersville Elementary School

Presently, there is a population of 820 students.  Many of our teachers are National Board Certified and have advanced degrees.  The staff provides a safe and welcoming environment.  Children are encouraged and expected to grow into well-rounded productive members of society through character education development.  Our students, staff and academic program have earned us the status of an Exemplary School in the 1999-2000 school year, School of Excellence in 2002-2003, Honor School of Excellence in 2003-2004, 2004-2005, 2006-2007, School of Distinctionin 2008, and Blue Ribbon School Award in 2007-2008.

Torrence Creek Elementary School

Torrence Creek Elementary School opened its doors in August 2005. The first year the school had 960 students in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. They have grown rapidly with a current student enrollment of approximately 1200 students. Torrence Creek has consistantly reached their expected growth and is considered a top 10 elementary school in CMS.

Latta Springs located just off Beatties Ford Rd in Huntersville, is one of Lake Norman's well planned development. Homes are priced in the mid 300's, with 4 BR and over 3000 square feet. Stephens Grove Huntersville NC Homes for Sale

I thought I would start a new series of blogs called BEST BUYS. I will search numerous Lake Norman area neighborhoods such as Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Mooresville, Denver and report back here with my results.

I live in the Stephens Grove subdivision so I will start there. After completing a Market Analysis I believe 7628 Birchwalk Dr to be a very good value. Most homes are priced at or above $100/sq ft. This home is FULL BRICK , 3 car garage, 5BR and sits on .52 acres.

The community is very family friendly and is located in a good school district. Shopping and restaurants are only minutes away and if you enjoy water activities Lake Norman is pratically in your backyard.
