Bassmaster Southern Open 2011 is coming to Lake Norman, NC March 24th-26th.
First time since 2006 that a national BASS event has been held on Lake Norman. Event will feature 400 of the top professional anglers from around the world. Boats will launch from Blythe Landing, weigh-ins held lakeside first two days and final Saturday weigh-in will be held at Bass Pro Shop (Concord).
If this is your fist time visiting the Lake Norman region you are in for a treat. Weather is going to be great with all outdoor patio bars ready for your enjoyment.
There are plenty of hotels within minutes of Blythe Landing just of I-77 exit 25. There is the Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn, Holiday Inn Express just to name a few. The great thing about staying off of exit 25 is the proximity to everything.
Birkdale Village which is located a mile off of exit 25 in Huntersville has everything you are looking for when visiting a new area. It has some great restaurants along with shopping and a Movie theater. The weather should be great so come and enjoy the Bassmaster Tournament and the Lake Norman area.
