Here is my selling cheat sheet. Please feel free to add.
- De-Personalize - let the potential buyers see themselves in the house
- De-Clutter - PACK UP the mess, clean off counter tops
- Consider renting a storage unit
- Make minor repairs - patch any holes, fix leaking faucets etc...
- Consider painting walls neutral - please get rid of pink bathrooms or purple rooms
- Staging - if not professional look from the front door and arrange furniture that will make sense
- Check Curb Appeal - especially the entrance
- Keep the sidewalks cleared and neat - add some plants or new mulch
I am sure most of you hit this checklist but I thought it would be a good reminder.

It is always important for sellers to cover the basics. It seems basic to us but not always to them. A house must shine to sell in today's market!
The trick is getting the sellers to agree to these useful ideas!
I agree with Randi, sometimes it is a challenge getting sellers to do what we ask of them to have their home be on top of the list
Sellers can be stubborn for sure....thanks for the response!
The first impressions sell the house; getting the vendor to pay ball is another item.
